Clean Your Face Gently - Clean your face properly.
Use Toner - Toners remove all traces of dirt, make-up or cleanser that remain after cleansing. Immediately after cleansing apply toner to the forehead and cheeks on a pad of corron wool. Apply the toner to the crevices around the nose. Apply the toner to the crevices around the chin.
Apply Eye Cream - The skin under your eyes is more delicate and sensitive than the skin on the rest of your face. It is the first part of your face to show signs of aging. An natural eye cream or serum can help to protect this fragile skin, even out skin tone, minimize dark under eye circles, and even temporarily tighten fine lines
.
Moisturing - Without Moisturing, the skin will not remain smooth and supple. The face is exposed to the drying effect of the weather, so moisturisers - which form a film over the skin - contain and augment the natural moisture. Using the tips of the fingers, dot moisturising cream lightly all over the face. Press the fingers of both hands into the center of the forehead and work the cream slowly outwards. Pat the cream gently around the eyes. Work the cream around the jawline, chin and mouth with the middle fingers of both hands.
Protect Your Face - The best way to prevent unnecessary sun damage is to protect your skin from exposure to the sun. Excess sun exposure can cause damage to your skin in the form of freckles, roughness, age spots, wrinkles, and cancer. Skin cells can repair themselves to a certain degree even after they have been overexposed to ultraviolet light, as long as further exposure is avoided. So it is worth taking the precautions to protect your skin from sun at any age. Ultraviolet rays barrage your face even when you least expect it: in the car, at the bus stop, and even walking in and out of the house. Use a natural sunscreen product everyday, even if you don't plan on spending a lot of time outdoors.
Facial Skin care tips
- Never go to bed with your make-up on.
- Make-up that is left on overnight clogs the pores and prevents the skin cells from shedding, which may cause blemishes and/or blackheads.
- The skin needs to breathe over night.
- Waterproof make-up is most easily removed with a gel cleanser.
- The most important thing that you can do for your facial skin is to avoid sunlight or use liberal amounts of sunscreen.
- Sunlight causes the skin to age and causes skin cancer which is the most common malignancy in humans.
- The most common location for these tumors is the face. If you do not believe that the sun ages your skin, then look at the skin under your upper arm and compare it to the skin on your face and the back of the hands.
- Avoid soda, coffee and other affienated beverages. These drinks dehydrate your body and rob moisture from the skin. Instead, make sure you drink plenty of purified water throughout the day. Water helps to plump your skin with moisture and it improves circulation.
- Drink lots of water. Internal hydration keeps skin cells plump and healthy. Water also helps transport nutrients to skin cells, keeping them nourished.
